**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated **Fund Development and Research Associate** for a nine-week full-time contract at HCA Dance + Theatre. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting fund research and writing grants, assisting with fundraising initiatives, and organizing archives. You'll support key projects while providing crucial assistance to management. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct comprehensive fund research to identify potential grants and other funding opportunities relevant to HCA Dance + Theatre.
- Write compelling grant proposals to secure funding, ensuring adherence to grant guidelines and organizational goals.
- Assist with fundraising events, campaigns, and projects, leading initiatives and ensuring all logístical and administrative aspects are effectively managed.
- Support the development team in planning, prioritizing, and executing fundraising strategies and initiatives.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for all fundraising activities, ensuring the organization's archives are up to date.
- Interact effectively with all levels of management to provide support, share updates, and report on fundraising progress.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and communications for stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution of projects and campaigns.
- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly for grant writing.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Capable of meeting deadlines while ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Effective interpersonal skills with strong emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead projects, campaigns, and meetings successfully.
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
