The primary responsibility of the Associate Veterinarian is to deliver professional veterinary services in compliance with the Practice's policies and the highest standards of the veterinary profession. This encompasses consulting with animal owners, making diagnoses, and executing treatment or surgical protocols, as well as providing sufficient oversight of support staff to fulfill these responsibilities. This includes elements of supervision, planning, and coordinating the efforts of others to ensure the Hospital's profitability while upholding the delivery of the highest quality veterinary services.
Required Expertise
The role of the Associate Veterinarian necessitates a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or a similar qualification from an accredited veterinary school that meets the licensing requirements in the relevant province of employment.
Reporting Structure
The primary reporting obligation of the Associate Veterinarian is to the Office or Practice Manager of the veterinary Practice.
Specific Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian is accountable for performing all typical duties of a veterinary practitioner and for managing client cases under their care, including routine therapeutic procedures, veterinary surgery, patient records management, post-operative observation, accurate client billing, and case reviews with the Medical Director or their appointee.
The Associate Veterinarian is expected to uphold their professional standards.

Pay: $100,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
