About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Specialist to join our team in Sherbrooke, Quebec. As a Veterinary Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our laboratory animals.

Job Summary

In this position, you will be responsible for evaluating and following the health status of animals under veterinary supervision. You will work closely with our veterinarians to prepare and perform treatment plans, conduct medical treatments, interventions, and diagnostic tests under veterinary supervision, and identify potential animal welfare issues and find solutions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A college diploma in Animal Health
  • Work experience in a similar position is an asset
  • The ability to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
  • Good observation and organization skills
  • Good time management
  • The ability to quickly adapt to last-minute changes
  • An understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism in French and English is preferable
About the Benefits

  • A starting salary of $20.00 per hour, with opportunities to start at a higher level and higher salary with specific research experience

  • A full-time, permanent position (37.5 hours/week), depending on the needs, you may have to do overtime
