Junior Production Planner

Toronto, Canada Commercial Bakeries Corp Full time

Assist in preparing daily production schedules to ensure delivery of customer orders.
- Prepare and distribute work orders to Production team. Update and maintain production status reports.
- Coordinate with the Production team to meet production targets. Provide regular updates on production status to Management.
- Maintain open communication with different teams: Production, Warehouse, Procurement, Sales, Quality, Research and Development, and Operations.
- Maintain, enter, process and track customer orders. Communicate with Customer Service Representative regarding order confirmations, back order and production order completion.
- Perform weekly inventory analysis to verify ingredient and packaging material availability for production requirements. Coordinate with Material Planner to ensure that the required materials are available and meet the production requirements.
- Work closely with quality team to ensure that production schedules adhere to strict Quality and Food Safety Standards.
- Provide administrative support to the production planning process, working with R&D, Quality to maintain production BOM and material master data.
- Participate in other continuous improvement projects as needed.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Food Science, Business Administration, or other related field
- 1-2 years previous experience in production planning within the food industry, baked goods preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Must be comfortable working in a hot environment (Bakery floor)
