**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Junior Production Planner will support the Production Planning team including scheduling, inventory, purchasing, and order entry. You will assist with scheduling and coordinating flow of work and materials to maintain standards of excellence and ensure a smooth flow of production.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
- Assist with supply planning and production scheduling process, support the weekly and long-term production schedule.
- Assist with establishing accurate inventory levels (min/max), and assist in problem-solving, and executing appropriate countermeasures for deviations from planned inventory levels.
- Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure production/customer requirements are met.
- Responsible for planning and purchasing Inventory items and Expensed Items. Issue purchase orders for Expensed MROs (Maintenance, Repair, Operations Inventory).
- Confirm pricing and receipts of purchase orders and follow up on open orders to ensure shipped on promised date.
- Assist with entering orders into the Production Configurator Program and related processes as required.
- Assist with entering Oracle (ERP) WIP and Materials transactions as required.
- Identify discrepancies and mitigate associated risk for meeting committed customer delivery date.
- Generate, track, and distribute standardized reports for production as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
**Education & Experience Qualifications**:
- Completion of post-secondary education in Supply Chain or equivalent in experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Apparel or Textile industry considered a huge asset.
- Strong MRP/ERP knowledge considered an asset.
- Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work well with a team.
- Self-motivated and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
**Must be legally able to work in Canada and, where applicable, must have a valid work permit.**
