**Job Posting: Community/Recreational Technical Lead**

EMSA South is a non for profit, community-based soccer club located in the SE corner of the city of Edmonton. EMSA South provides soccer development programs and leagues to youth players in recreational, development and competitive soccer.

Overall Objective: Guide the coaching and player development for U13-U19 programs in our community/recreational stream.

The Technical Lead is responsible for the management of all EMSA South recreational and community programs from U13-U19, encompassing the LTPD Stages Learn to Train through to soccer for life.

He/she will work closely with all relevant coaches within the community/recreational stream. He/she will provide positive energy, leadership, and initiative in developing, growing and maintaining programs within EMSA South. This is balanced with strong customer service ability, program leadership, administration, and conflict resolution skills. The Technical Lead reports directly to the technical committee.

The Technical Lead is to play a dynamic and leadership role including, but not limited to, the following areas:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Must be committed to the philosophy of building a successful, respected program with particular emphasis on athletic and academic priorities and the importance of good citizenship both on and off the field
- Assist the Technical Committee in organizing the overall structure and annual Technical Development Plan for community/recreational U13-U19 Programs
- Collaborate with Technical Team to develop training curriculums to assure principles are implemented encompassing the LTPD Learn to Train to soccer for life in training within the U13—U19 age groups
- Collaborate with TD to refine strategy and implement coach education to support development of club “style of play”
- Collaborate with TD to organize and collect training sessions and manage curriculum content for training use in player development and coach education
- Responsible for creating content and delivering coaching Education and providing coaching support
- Ensure excellent communication lines are established between EMSA South and coaches, players, and parents
- Collaborate with the Technical Committee in regard to summer camps and clinics as well as academy training for community players.

**Experience**:

- Coaching Certification (C Licence Preferred Learn to train/Soccer for life minimum)
- First aid (preferred)
- Previous Coaching experience
- Vulnerable Sector Background Check (required upon hiring).

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5-15 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$50.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
