Job Description:
Reporting into Talent Planning and Acquisition Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing workforce planning and succession programs and frameworks in alignment with HR strategy and business objectives. This role is key in supporting the different business units to anticipate and define the future talent needs, assess their readiness to compete in the future and establish talent strategies to shape talent investments for the future.

To be successful in this role, you will need to liaise with the Heads of HR for each business unit, as well as the Heads for each HR COE to properly scope, plan and align business and talent needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively identify the critical workforce requirements necessary to execute strategic business plans- Design and integrate a talent framework for identifying and nurturing top talent and key roles based on organizational priorities- Manage projects and delivering initiatives identified through the workforce planning process- Create programs in order to increase pipeline of emerging talent including through the development of internship programs- Develop tools to identify and monitor critical skills and risk positions- Scope and analyze the business leadership needs in order to determine and provide an effective pipeline of future leaders- Drive improvements across the businesses to better spot and nurture talent by using appropriate succession strategies, processes and tools-
- Liaise with HR Business Partners to ensure continuous progress of succession plans- Partner with other COEs to ensure alignment and linking of succession plans with other Talent initiatives (retention strategies, training, development of talent pools, compensation, etc).- Evaluate succession planning program metrics and document results.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Previous experience at working with senior leaders- Strategic understanding of workforce planning policy and practice, and associated risk management procedures- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field. An MBA is a plus.- At least 6 years working experience in the same role within large and complex organizations.- Given that this role constantly works with leaders in Canada (Quebec and Ontario) and the US, fluency in English and French is highly desirable

SKILLS- Demonstrated professional competence in the delivery of innovative and cost-effective workforce planning and succession management in a complex environment- Ability to deliver at pace and to work with leaders and HR partners to maintain strong leadership pipelines- Develop strong stakeholder relationships and possess negotiation skills and ability to influence without authority- Lead collaboratively by partnering with others internally and externally to engage multiple stakeholders, foster alignment, gain consensus and influence outcomes
