Sales Manager for Startup Food Brand

**The Opportunity**:
We are seeking a dynamic **Sales Manager** with a strong passion for the food industry to help us expand the reach of our Torshi products. This role is crucial for driving sales at farmers markets and pushing our products into retail stores and wholesale markets. As a core member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in increasing our market presence and contributing to the growth and success of our brand. This position offers the flexibility of a remote working environment with the necessity for regular in-person meetings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute sales strategies to promote our products at farmers markets and secure shelf space in retail stores.
- Build and maintain relationships with store managers, buyers, and wholesalers to increase product distribution and visibility.
- Monitor sales performance and market trends to adjust strategies as needed, ensuring maximum effectiveness and growth.
- Manage sales operations, including order processing, inventory tracking, and fulfillment, to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to leverage social media and other digital platforms to enhance brand awareness and drive sales.
- Represent our brand at farmers markets, trade shows, and other relevant events to engage directly with customers and promote our products.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and standards in all sales and marketing activities.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in the food industry, with a strong track record of successful product placement in stores and/or wholesale.
- Deep passion for food and a thorough understanding of the food retail and wholesale landscape.
- Strong network in the food industry with established relationships with retailers and wholesalers.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience in utilizing digital and social media tools to boost sales.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic startup environment.
- Must reside in Ottawa, Ontario and be available for in-person meetings several times a week.

**Join Us**:
Pay: $40,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
