At Archive Hospitality, we are passionate about creating and operating beautiful and inspiring destinations through our boutique hotel properties. Archive’s three hotels are treasured landmarks in special neighbourhoods: The Broadview Hotel in Toronto’s east end; Gladstone House in Toronto’s west end; and The Postmark Hotel, which is opening soon in Newmarket.
**POSITION**: Events Planner**
**THE ROLE AT A GLANCE**: This position plays a key role within the Postmark hotel. The Events Planner works with clients to visualize, sell and plan events for social, corporate and weddings to ensure that a memorable event is executed. This is an exciting time for Archive Hospitality, as we are on the cusp of opening The Postmark Hotel and are in the process of launching new restaurant concepts across the Toronto hotels. This role will report directly into the Senior Sales Manager.
**YOUR DAY TO DAY**:
- Partner with the Sales Manager and Banquet Manager to plan events for corporate, wedding, group bookings and social events.
- Working directly with client to coordinate all details of bookings and events
- Coordinate with vendors and hotel staff to ensure that all aspects of the event run smoothly.
- Onsite overseeing events and ensuring client satisfaction. Assistance within house event planning and marketing events planned with marketing team.
- Provide a high level of service throughout the event cycle. Handle any issues that may arise with care and attention.
- Manage a large volume of clients.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients.
- Conduct comprehensive site tours of the venue for potential event clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals and have a solid vendor base of contacts.
- Maintain strong communication and customer service skills.
- Manages events in the booking system to reflect accurate, up to date information including pricing.
**YOU HAVE**:
- Flexibility to work evening and weekends.
- Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to perform in a high-paced environment with competing priorities.
- A minimum of 4 years working within events and sales teams within hotels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Maestro, TripleSeat and AllSeated an asset

- Creative and solutions-oriented.
- Strong oral and written communications, with attention to detail.
