Fundraising Coordinator

**20-30 hours per week (hours are flexible but will increase near event time - Secret Soiree is April 26 and Tour de Chilliwack is June 7).**
**Contract is from January 15, 2025 - July 31, 2025 with possibility of extension.**
**Job Summary**:*
The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for raising funds for Chilliwack Community Services’ operations, programs, and capital campaigns. Fundraising is driven by the development of a fundraising strategy under CCS’ Strategic Plan, the planning and implementation of various fundraising initiatives, and the building of strong relationships with the community and the business sector. The Fundraising Coordinator works closely with the Executive Director, Directors, and internal and Board Fundraising Committees.
The Fundraising Coordinator is responsible for the following fundraising initiatives:
- Annual Giving Campaigning
- Christmas Sharing
- Employee Giving Campaigns
- Grant Writing Support
- Events
- Third Party Initiatives
- Planned Giving
- Donor Development
- Corporate Campaigns and Sponsorships (including media sponsorship)
- Gaming Oversight
- Capital Campaigns
- Other Fundraising Initiatives, as identified.
**Qualifications**:*
**_Education, Training and Experience:_**
- Certificates in fundraising, special events coordination or Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP).
- Minimum three (3) years’ fundraising and event planning experience in a non-profit setting.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and achieving fundraising plans and goals.
- Significant experience fundraising in Chilliwack.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:*
1. In the context of the Strategic Plan, develop a Fundraising Strategic Plan for events and overall donor development which meets the financial goals and objectives of CCS.
2. To develop, implement, and evaluate new and existing fundraising initiatives, including identifying potential new funding sources.
3. To set specific, measurable, realistic, and achievable fundraising goals and ensure that these goals are met.
4. To work with the Fundraising Committee of the Board of Directors and internal staff in fundraising planning, goal setting, and implementation.
5. To plan, organize, and direct Agency fundraising events, overseeing any staff associated with the events.
6. To plan and implement the Annual Giving Campaign, which involves coordination of a direct mail campaign.
7. To plan and implement the Christmas Sharing Program.
8. To plan and implement Employee Giving Programs, which involves making contact with companies to provide opportunities to give to Chilliwack Community Services through payroll deductions, in-kind donations, and volunteerism.
9. To provide support for Grant Writing.
10. To plan and implement Corporate Sponsorships, as either part of the Annual Giving or Events.
11. To plan and implement fundraising events such as the Secret Soiree, Tour de Chilliwack, and any others.
12. To oversee coordination of Gaming, including direct access and our gaming funds and training fees.
13. To plan and implement capital campaigns and third-party events, as required.
14. To build a Planned Giving system for CCS including opportunities for long-term giving and bequests.
15. To ensure accurate donor and guest lists associated with each event are maintained.
16. Working with Finance, prepare budgets for each fundraising initiative, ensuring funds are provided to the front desk, and within the requirements of Finance, working with staff to ensure donation receipts and thank you letter are sent.
17. Providing to the Executive Director on a monthly basis, the results of fundraising efforts.
18. Organizing and implementing donor recognition events.
19. Recruit, training, and coordinate volunteer necessary throughout the year.
20. Organizing and implementing volunteer recognition events.
21. To ensure compliance with required Bylaws and Canada Revenue Agency.
22. Maintain strict confidentiality.
23. Completes all mandatory learning requirements.
24. Performs other relevant duties as required.
**General**:*
- Wage rate as per BCGEU Collective Agreement, Program Coordinator 2 - Grid 14 - $33.77 per hour, plus health and dental benefits.
