Bookkeeper

Our manufacturing client located in Barrie Ontario is looking for an experienced full cycle bookkeeper to join their team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Maintaining and updating accounting records;
- Receiving and recording cash, cheques, etc., posting of debits and credits; bank deposits
- Preparing bank deposits, verifying balances and receipts, reconcile bank statements
- Monitoring cash flow activities throughout the organization;
- Processing payroll accurately
- Performing month-end closings
- Preparing required reports and files, and liaising with finance-related subcommittees and the organization’s auditors;
- Picking up mail daily
- Any other related functions as required under the role.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum 2+ years bookkeeper experience
- Proven proficiency in bookkeeping in accordance with Canadian accounting standards
- Proven proficiency in office software programs and ability to learn new software
- Experience with Acumatica software an asset
- Familiarity with full cycle accounting functions.
- Patient, demonstrated accuracy, an analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
- Excellent inter-personal skills, organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Judgment and discretion
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive file material and other information
- Highly organized
- Be flexible with work requests
- Adaptable to new processes
- Pleasant and professional manner
Note: This is an onsite position.
