The CCTV Operations Manager will be responsible for the new CCTV surveillance division of Onni. The role leads, directs, and oversees the day-to-day performance of the monitoring station and ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. The CCTV Operations Manager interprets Onni’s strategic priorities, conducts operational planning, and defines the policies, procedures and performance standards that guide all aspects of the monitoring station’s operations. The Manager is relied upon as a key member of the management team to ensure the continuous operation of these critical systems and services which are integral to the security of multiple sites located in North America. The CCTV Operations Manager manages relationships with a wide network of stakeholders and leads a team of surveillance operators.
- Supervises the surveillance operators by leading, training, mentoring, evaluating, and providing recognition of accomplishments and corrective feedback as appropriate.
- Facilitates the effective functioning of the Surveillance team by providing expertise, resources and by cultivating a positive team environment.
- Ensures effective communication between Surveillance and Management.
- Directs special observations and investigations as requested by management and the Surveillance department.
- Works closely with Surveillance, Construction, Finance, IT leaders and business peers.
- Ensures that all aspects of surveillance activity are kept in the strictest confidence.
- Maintains data files on procedural infractions, investigations, and criminal matters.
- Encourages feedback from operators and recommends strategies to improve processes, customer service, team morale and department standards.
- Liaises with local law enforcement and employees on-site on investigations and compliance issues. Provides timely reports and information to Management as requested or required.
- Prepares and monitors annual departmental budget.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
- Prepare work schedules for effective staffing, ensuring efficient operation of the department within specific labor standards.
- Participate in and develops training programs for staff.
- Maintain high morale, minimizing turnover and concentrating on staff developments.
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings. Maintain effective flow of communication within the department.
- Assist and support in all aspects of business development and sales.
- Performs other duties assigned.

**Summary of Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Positivity-infused leadership style with the ability to persuade and negotiate well with others.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Security Management position or directly related position. Construction experience is an asset.
- Hold a valid Security Worker Licence.
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
- The Manager works closely with Surveillance, Construction, Finance, IT leaders and business peers.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit, seeking to grow and expand the business/department.
- Demonstrates initiative, personal awareness, professionalism, integrity, professional appearance, and exercises confidentiality.
- Highly empathetic and able to vary styles of interaction to match the needs of a variety of business and technical audiences, as well as temperaments and personalities.
