**About us**:
The Evaluations Unit is responsible for developing the evaluation and research framework for Employment Ontario, and leading and informing the development of performance measurement frameworks, program and system level key performance indicators, qualitative and quantitative research studies. The unit leads evaluations of Ontario's employment and training system, programs, policies, and initiatives to provide an evidence base for policy development and decision-making. The unit also closely collaborates with policy/program, data analytics, and system partners, supports the Multi-Year Planning of employment and training programs and coordinates the Ministry's participation in federal evaluation exercises through the Labour Market Transfer Agreements.

As the Manager of the Evaluation Unit you will collaborate with key partners to ensure an evidence framework is in place to inform trends and priorities, mobilize key findings and innovations, and make recommendations on Ministry policies, programs, standards, legislation and regulations for Ontario's labour market, employment and training system and programs.

**What can I expect to do in this role?**: Reporting to the Strategic Partnerships and Evaluation Branch you will:

- Lead a team of staff in the planning, development, and implementation of research and evaluation initiatives to support delivery and integration of key government and ministry policies, programs and regulatory mandates.
- Provide strategic, evidence-based options and recommendations to senior executives.
- Oversee the preparation of submissions, research/evaluation reports and recommendations, decision notes, discussion papers and policy materials.
- Lead, support, and promote a productive and supportive team environment while fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and service excellence.
