Richardson Oilseed is one of Canada’s oldest and largest fully-integrated oilseed processing and packaging operations with four facilities across Canada and the U.S. In addition to producing bulk canola oil and meal, our Food & Ingredients division produces a wide variety of canola-based margarines, oils and shortenings for the industrial, retail and foodservice markets. We currently have an opportunity for a National Sales Manager. You will report directly to the Director, Foodservice Sales and will be responsible for achieving targeted sales of Richardson Oilseed by promoting the product's features and benefits to new and existing foodservice distributor and national account chain customers in the Canadian marketplace.

**Responsibilities**:

- Grow food service sales volume while meeting division profitability targets with a goal to expand sales within the channel
- Drive sales with national multi-unit foodservice chain operator
- Manage tier 1 distributor account relationships including driving sales of private label and branded product sales, developing programs, accruals, and negotiating marketing and product agreements
- Develop and present business reviews to customers and leadership; manage key customer relationships
- Develop and implement customer account plans, contract management, sales forecasts and margins in alignment with sales goals and strategies
- Gather sales data for the defined market, identify trends and make recommendations to drive branded and private label portfolio sales
- Organize, manage and participate in food shows as needed
- Liaise with Marketing, Sales Support, Quality Assurance, Product Innovation and Operations to deliver goods in a timely and efficient manner and support the development of new products

Qualifications:

- Degree in business, marketing, food science or related field
- 5-8 years progressively responsible experience in sales of manufactured foods sold at the Head Office level for foodservice tier 1, national broad-line distributors and multi-unit chain restaurant operators in the foodservice channel
- Experience in managing and negotiating long term private agreements with tier 1 national distributors and multi-unit chain operators
- Proven ability to engage customer base and drive growth of a business; deep knowledge and appreciation for developing cross-functional teamwork
- Experience selling private label solutions as well as branded products
- Knowledge of food industry and commodity markets; basic knowledge of fats and oils in food systems and formulations preferred
- Demonstrated project management and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, results focused with strong analytical skills
- Must be able to effectively manage change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
