Store Auditor

**OVERVIEW**:
Reporting to the Accounting and Store Audit Manager, the Store Auditor works with retail sites to ensure accurate daily recording of financial information through the PDI system, balancing to electronic sales records, undertaking research where discrepancies occur and reconciling various transactions to the general ledger.
The position is in-office, out of Maxville, with training in both Ottawa and Maxville.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Ensures sites submit their sales by set deadlines.
- Responds to operator and customer questions and inquiries.
- Reconciles lottery, gift cards and credit cards daily.
- Imports cost credit/rebate files, manually record vacuum and car wash sales.
- Creates rent, fixed rent, and commissions under appropriate Profit Centers when received from Territory Managers when there are changes or station openings.
- Analyzes new files required for import and provides pertinent information to business partners to write the import profiles.
- Files station documentation as received.
- Any other duties or projects that can reasonably be required, commensurate with the role.
**EDUCATION AND SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE**:
- Post-secondary education in Business/accounting is desirable.
- A minimum of two years of accounting experience.
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**:
- A high degree of computer proficiency.
- Ability to interpret various software files to manipulate for import.
- Previous experience with a recognized accounting system is desired.
- Strong working knowledge of Word and Excel is required.
- Strong knowledge of retail POS processes and Bulloch files is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- The ability to converse in both official languages is essential, both verbal and written.
