**Your Opportunity**

BDO Digital is looking for a **Bilingual **Business Analyst **to join our technology consulting team to support Application Development-related projects. Working from the **Ottawa **area, you will be responsible for managing the solution scope for a portfolio of projects.

**What you will be doing**:

- Conveying the vision of what the client wishes to build to the rest of the development team.
- Defining and managing scope and requirements across the lifecycle of IT and Data Science projects.
- Gathering and documenting requirements, data analysis with the client and presenting for approval.
- Assisting project leaders in the development of project plans and ensuring that all team members understand their assigned requirements (working with data engineers to determine and locate appropriate data sources).
- Building automated reports and dashboards with the help of Power BI, state trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Advise and recommend best practices to enable effective Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI/DW) strategies
- Partner with technical teams to ensure that data is accurate in databases for reporting & analysis,
- Evaluating existing data systems. Work with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows
- Ensuring ongoing alignment of client requirements, project deliverables, and project scope.
- Setting up, facilitating and documenting team and client meetings.
- Influencing and leading teams to success.

**Your experience and education**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Analyst or Business System Analyst role, in Insurance, Renewables and Resources Extraction, Manufacturing, Public Sector.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Software BA methodologies, tools and process with proven experience in Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid development environment.
- Analytical thinking and using Business Analysis techniques to problem-solving, requirements elicitation and analysis, data modelling, business process modelling and requirements management.
- Thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into the solution and operational requirements.
- Ability to produce requirements artifacts, such as Process Flow Diagrams, Wireframes, BRDs, SRS, User Stories, Use Cases and scenario, Data Migration Rules and Mapping, etc.
- Proficient in establishing relationships, analyzing perspectives and managing stakeholders.
- Ability to guide QA strategy, test plan and direct testing and quality assurance activities.
- In-depth collaboration and team skills to work with a diverse working group.
- Personal organization skills that can manage work effort to provide quality service in a productive and cost-effective manner.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Must be self-sufficient and require limited assistance to perform duties.
- Bilingual (French and English) with in-depth verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with business cases, RFPs and statements of work.
- Experience with data, cloud.
- Experience with writing SQL scripts.
- ITIL v3, CMST, CMSQ, PMP, CBAP or CCBA certification.
- Federal security reliability/secret clearance is an asset.
