**What we are looking for**
We are looking for a Production Team Lead to oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our food production facility in Calgary. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that all production processes are running smoothly and efficiently, and that our products are meeting our high quality standards.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the production facility
- Ensure that production processes are running smoothly and efficiently
- Work closely with the production team and maintenance to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements
- Ensure that all products meet our high quality standards
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products
- Provide leadership coaching & training to team members on all daily farm tasks.
- Create and maintain production schedules to ensure that all orders are fulfilled on time
- Ensure that all safety and sanitation regulations are being followed
**Qualifications & Educational Requirements**
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of post-secondary education is an asset.
- Demonstrating understanding on KPI’s, GMP, Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality, HACCP, Waste Rate and Run Rates
- Willing to learn, lead and support driving the implementation of lean manufacturing and best practices on the floor (5S, DDS and DMS meetings, Kaizen, OEE, etc)
- 1-3 years of leadership experience. Preference is given to occupational leadership experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- Safe, licensed operation of powered industrial vehicles (an asset). If not, willing to be trained.
- Previous experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is required.
- High degree of organizational skills
- Strong Communication and problem-solving
- Ability to work in fast paced environments, multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong ability to stay organized.
