The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa is seeking a Third Cook who has a passion for culinary and wants to grow in the restaurant industry.

**Hours**:
**What you'll be doing**:

- Assists in the preparation of all food items for the hotel’s Food and Beverage Outlets, including Essence of Unionville, Absolute Lounge, Room Service, Banquets and Catering Facilities.
- Obtains a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food menu items, daily features and promotions.
- Prepares dishes for guests with food allergies and intolerances.
- Ensures appropriate presentation and garnishment of dishes.
- Performs daily checks of all food items to ensure freshness and quality standards.
- Actively prevents over production, spoilage and contamination of food items.
- Ensures the cleanliness of all work areas, equipment and utensils.

**What we're looking for**:

- Post-secondary diploma in Culinary Management
- Food Safe Certification
- Minimum 1 year of cooking experience
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Good command of English and be able to interpret recipes
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Physical Demands: Excessive standing, walking, lifting and bending.

**Job Type**: Part-time

- Culinary: 1 year (preferred)
- cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
