**Summary of Job description**

The Plant Manager will manage production and distribution for the facility with an employee base of 25 team members. This position coordinates production, distribution, warehousing and cost accounting in accordance with company policies, principles and procedures. The plant manager will supervise all the processes of the plant to assure the efficiency of all the procedures that are being followed in the plant operation and maintenance. The plant manager needs to assure they provide and supply the needs of our customer. This person may also be responsible for a small site of 5 people.

**Core Competencies**
- Assure that the equipment and tools used in the processes of the plant activities are well maintained and are at their best conditions.
- Estimate the financial needs of the plant in a specific period depending on the repairs and other requirements of the operations.
- Perform specific tasks required for the completion of the plant activities.
- Perform other work functions when required, especially in the absence of a plant worker or when an employee needs assistance.
- Assure that minor repairs are being done to prevent items from being broken or unusable in the work environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe plant.
- Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the HR Manager for all employee and HR matters
- Achieve plant production and product quality assurance goals.
- Train, develop and motivate plant personnel, provide people and leadership development
- Conduct plant personnel performance reviews.
- Work with other staff members to ensure coordination of raw material purchasing, production, and shipping of finished products.
- Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules.
- Attend scheduled corporate training and business meetings, could include travel to other sites.
- Be willing to perform any responsibility in the plant as required.
- Reviews productions costs and product and modifies production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation.
- Help subordinates to understand different plant equipment depending on the needs of operations.
- Inspect all the areas of the plant to know the areas that are needed to be improved or changed.
- Top plant level authority oversees training of managers/supervisors, Final approval over purchasing.
- Stive to ensure our customer satisfaction, communicate regularly and respond accordingly
- Drive the company culture and maintain a positive and open-door environment.
- Prepare Cost reduction Initiatives

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor in Operations Management or equivalent experience and education preferred
- Experience with following guidelines is preferred: ISO, SQF, AIB or HACCP
- Preferably skilled in Business Management, Operation Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology or similar.
- At least 5 years of food, consumer products or other related manufacturing experience.
- At least 5 year of managing leaders in a manufacturing environment as a Production Supervisor, Production Manager, Plant Manager, or similar role.
- Must be capable of working in a high-speed environment utilizing lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong manufacturing knowledge
