**The Role: Health, Safety, Environment, and Community (HSEC) Coordinator**
**Purpose of the Role**
As an HSEC Coordinator, you support Health, Safety, Environment, and Community initiatives and activities. You'll contribute to company compliance with all environmental, health and safety regulations, support training of employees, contribute to policy development, document incidents and take action on infractions by providing coaching, influence and guidance.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- You have up to two years of experience in HSEC in a dynamic and fast-paced industry
- You have education in safety through post-secondary or certificate programs
- You posses good knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- You have experience with Microsoft office suite (SharePoint, MS Forms, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- You have technical aptitude, ability to use systems, work with data and create and present reports
**What Success looks like in this role**
- You'll support the HSEC department by coordinating and completing: Team meeting agendas, Company-wide events, safety programs, training, Safety LMS, record-keeping, new worker orientation, and other HSEC documentation
- You'll contribute to and train employees on health and safety regulations and practices
- You assist with injury management and workers compensation claims; submit reports to required regulatory organizations; liaise with WorkSafeBC and other regulatory bodies on compliance and incidents
- You will contribute to the HSEC goal of a Zero Harm safety culture and risk-based awareness program.
- You contribute to company HSEC policy development and adherence to relevant jurisdictions.
- You embody a strong safety culture.
