Regina, Canada Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd Full time

**_Techmation Electric & Controls_** is seeking an **Electrical Estimator **for our** Regina, SK **branch**. **We require a dynamic and experienced Journeyman Electrician with previous estimating experience. This person will participate in the analysis of costs and prepare electrical estimates for industrial construction projects.

Techmation works on a variety of Industrial Construction and Maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. You will have the opportunity to work on crucial projects with very reputable clients and have security in knowing there is continuous work.

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Create, prepare and coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates for the Electrical and Instrumentation construction projects
- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and the required content of the estimate
- Preparing bid packages, conceptual estimates and analysis of potential sub-contractor bids for projects
- Lead various estimate planning, verification and review meetings
- Provide input to the project team regarding estimating strategies including profitability, risk management, execution strategy, and costs
- Consult withother departmentsto ensure labour, equipment and materials reflect current pricing, construction costs, and timelines
- Attend site visits as required
- Collaborating with other estimators, project managers and Procurement Managers and contractors to determine costs related to RFI's and extra work orders
- Prepare and present estimate plans, estimate schedules, and man-hour budgets
- Examining and analyzing estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness of work pricing
- Prepares cost estimates associated with scope changes
- Generate project budgets, manage change orders & close out projects when complete

**Requirements**:

- Experienced Journeyman Electrician with at least 3 years previous electrical estimating experience in industrial construction
- Must have great attention to detail and a focus on producing a quality product in a timely manner
- Able to read, understand and interpret engineering and vendor specifications and drawings
- Proficient with Excel spreadsheets, as well as good working knowledge of Word and Outlook
- Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment or independently
- Above average communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients
- Able to operate under mínimal supervision; consults with manager when appropriate
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills
- Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate a high degree accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and is able to develop creative solutions
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and technical writing skills
- Must have valid H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, CSTS-09 and Standard First Aid certificates
