Hamilton, Canada Little Learning House Child Care Centre Full time

Currently seeking a full time, permanent assistant supervisor to support centre supervisor/director with day to day operations of a small, privately owned child care centre in Hamilton. This is an in program position with time allowed daily for administrative and centre support tasks.

We have 3 locations in Hamilton and have been providing licensed care for over 20 years. This location offers care for 10 toddlers and 14 preschoolers.

Typical shift is 8 hours with a 1 hour unpaid lunch. Shifts rotate weekly and you must be available to work all shifts. Centre hours are 7:30 to 5:30 Monday to Friday except holidays and PD days. Occasional paid evening or weekend hours may be required with notice for meetings or special events.

Pay range is $24 - $28 per hour inclusive of funding. This centre currently participates in CWELCC.

Start date is flexible.

Required Qualifications:

- Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with CECE
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Vulnerable Sector Check dated within the last 6 months
- Up to date immunizations
- TDAP dated within 10 years
- MMR
- Chicken Pox if born after 2000
- 1 step TB Skin test or medical clearance dated within 6 months
- Reliable transportation
- Minimum 5 years experience teaching in a licensed centre based child care setting
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Competent with computers and technology
- Good time management and organizational skills
