Overview

We are looking for a **Procurement Governance Lead** (Procurement Analyst) to join our Procurement Services department with a focus on governance and oversight of procurement performance to ensure adherence to applicable laws, policies, and legislation.

**How you’ll make a difference**:You’ll help protect the financial integrity of B.C.’s workers’ compensation system, ensuring we serve British Columbians now and in the future.

**Where you’ll work**

WorkSafeBC, we offer a **hybrid work model** that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

What you'll do
- Participate in the development and maintenance of integrated end-to-end tools, templates and processes that support the procurement activities
- Drive initiatives to enhance the use of data-driven insights in day-to-day decision making, and providing analytical support across procurement where required to support various projects and business needs
- Assist, participate in and lead projects with significant impacts on the organization to address emerging issues

We’re looking for someone who can:

- Effectively drive, communicate, and monitor the deployment, adherence and performance in processes and tools to ensure compliance and consistency in all procurement activities
- Perform data analytics and provide analytical support to procurement and internal stakeholders
- Use strong interpersonal skills to establish and manage cross-functional collaboration within procurement and internal stakeholders

**Your background and experience**
- A **bachelor’s degree** or a post-secondary 2-year diploma in purchasing, business administration, economics, or a related discipline
- A **minimum of six years of progressive procurement and/or category management experience**, that includes experience in a senior position or leading complex procurement projects
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation from the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada

We’ll consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
