We are seeking a dedicated, member service-oriented professionals to join our **Golf team as Part-time Player's Assistant from July to October 2023 (Weather dependent).**

Under the supervision and direction of the Associate Golf Professional, the Players’ Assistant will perform his/her duties to enhance the experience of members and guests on the golf course. This will include monitoring pace of play, providing courteous assistance to golfers and assisting with turf care when necessary, which will ultimately enhance the overall golf experience of the members and guests at Donalda Club.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Monitoring the speed of play and keeping the average 18-hole round within a target range of 4hrs 13 mins.
- When slow play issues arise, the Players’ Assistant is to communicate the issue to the CPGA professional staff on duty and they will ensure that the situation is resolved.
- Ensure that golfers are provided with courteous assistance of any kind when needed, as well as providing golfers with additional amenities; including water, towels, pencils, scorecards, and rides in and off the golf course.
- Monitoring all golfers to ensure that they adhere to on course rules & etiquette.
- Responsible for the general maintenance & cleanliness of the Players’ Assistant carts.
- Facilitate any questions or concerns members and their guests may have while on the golf course to ensure an enhanced golf experience.
- Ensure that golfers are wearing the appropriate attire prior to golfing to ensure that they are meeting Donalda Club’s dress code policy.
- May be required to assist golfers with the carrying of golf bags to their golf cart.
- Perform any additional duties as specified by the Head Golf Professional, Associate Golf Professionals, or the Pro Shop
- Fill divot seed mix bottles on a daily basis at all stations (1st, 5th, 12th)

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS/ QUALIFICATION REQUIRED**:

- Completion of High School Education (Grade 12) is required
- Knowledge of the game of golf and the principles surrounding etiquette is required
- Minimum of 2 years experience at a private club is required in this role
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs (Golf Bag)
- Must be able to work under pressure while maintaining composure and performance standard during busy peak periods
- Must be able to perform lifting and mild strenuous activity
- Able to work shifts - days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

**Contract Terms**
- Up to 20 hours per week (varied shift work schedule)
- Staff Meals (Taxable Benefit)
- Uniform provided by the Club
- Able to work evenings, weekends including holidays
- Accessible by TTC
- **July to October 2023 (Weather dependent)**
