Daycare Supervisor

Dearham Wood Daycare is a not-for profit, school-based childcare centre serving the Guildwood Community and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Daycare Supervisor to join our team. As the Daycare Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the centre as well as ensuring the well-being and development of the children.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Management of the overall operation of the centre including, enrolment, scheduling, recruitment and development of staff, payroll and benefits, management of policies and procedures
- Manages and ensure that the standards of practice are met and exceeded in accordance to Ministry of Education, Licensing and Compliance with the governance of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
- Plan, implement and supervise age-appropriate educational programs and activities to promote children’s social, emotional and intellectual growth.
- Collaborate with parents, staff and key stake holder to address any concerns or issues and ensure open communication
- Train and mentor daycare staff, promoting effective team work, guidance and professional development opportunities
- Maintains the public relations component of the centre including but not limited to marketing and advertising to promote enrolment
- Maintain a safe and clean environment of the centre adhering the health and safety protocols
- Submit monthly reports to key stakeholders highlighting the centre’s monthly operations and programming

**Requirements**:

- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role within a daycare or early childhood education setting
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- A clear Criminal Reference Check
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire your team
- Strong knowledge of ELECT Document, How Does Learning Happen? Think, Feel, Act and the CCEYA
- Exceptional organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize different competing requirements simultaneously
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience working in an unionized environment is an asset

**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
