**Position Title: Teesdale Supervisor & HR Administrator - Full-time Contract, 6 months**

**Warden Woods Community Centre**

Warden Woods has been working collaboratively to meet the needs and interests of local community for over 50 years in Southwest Scarborough. We are a multi-service, charitable organization delivering programs and services across 6+ local sites with a workforce of 80 employees and 120 volunteers, in partnership with over 50 other groups. We currently operate a 49-bed 24/7 respite program, daycare, early years drop-in, children’s camps and afterschool programs, youth drop-in’s, drop-in and food security programs, meals on wheels and transportation support, 24/7 assisted living, home help, seniors’ recreation and congregate dining, intergenerational community events, tax clinics, adult recreation and health + wellness programs, advocacy and civic engagement projects, and other opportunities year-round for the benefit of local people and the Southwest Scarborough community as a whole

**Position Summary**

Reporting to Management, the Teesdale Team Supervisor will be responsible for direct supervision of Coordinators and Front-Line staff members at Teesdale Place. The Supervisor will assess and evaluate team, program and site operations, performance and productivity, and work to implement productive, sustainable solutions. The Supervisor will also support the Human Resources Manager with administrative human resource functions for all programs across the organization. A high level of professionalism and strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written) are required to succeed in this role. No work from home arrangements is possible in this role.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Program**
- Provide direct supervision to coordinators and front-line staff in the Drop-In and Crisis Intervention programs at Teesdale Place
- Assess team productivity and performance, and make recommendations for roles and functions to improve effectiveness
- Manage conflicts and build a cooperative, accountable work environment
- Implement systems and practices to improve team, program and site operations
- Support Drop-In and Crisis Intervention program operations as needed, including providing direct service to community members when necessary
- Lead and support appropriate responses to crisis within programs and with clients when necessary
- Other duties as assigned

**HR**
- Organize and maintain personnel records of all employees/workers.
- Maintaining an accurate and efficient HR database with employee information and necessary documentation, including administering new starters, changes and leavers on the system for all programs
- Document and report on employee relations challenges at Teesdale, and collaborate with management to implement positive changes
- Assist the HR Manager in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires across the organization
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 4+ years' experience supervising employees, including employees who are in positions above entry level positions
- Demonstrated understanding of managing workplace conflicts and building team cohesion
- Excellent organizational skills, sound judgement and with ability to appropriately prioritize
- Highly skilled in hands-on de-escalation and crisis management strategies
- Knowledge of community drop-in and client support programming
- Experience with data collection, program evaluation and documentation
- Keen interest in effective people management and Human Resource functions
- Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
- Previous experience facilitating workshops with youth
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

**Compensation and Hours of Work**:

- $ 29.15/hour, 35 hours/week (Rate is not negotiable), Monday to Friday 9-4:30
- **Start date: February 26, 2024 to September 26, 2024 with possibility of extension**
