Pfaff Automotive Partners is looking for a forward-thinking Health & Safety Specialist to champion our safety initiatives and keep us at the forefront of OHSA standards. As a Health & Safety Specialist, you will serve as a central point of contact for employees and management, ensuring HR policies and procedures are adhered to, compliance is maintained, and the workforce is supported in various initiatives.

**Here’s What **You’ll** be Doing**:

- Promote a culture of safety and wellness within the organization, encouraging employee involvement and engagement
- Lead and support the JHSC team (schedule, attending meetings, taking minutes, providing appropriate follow up and tracking of action items and ensure they are completed)
- Identify opportunities for improving health and safety practices and contribute to the development and implementation of improvement initiatives
- Manage and investigate workplace safety incidents and accidents to develop strategies for prevention
- Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify training needs
- Plan, deliver, and coordinate training for employees
- Continued learning directed towards HR related initiatives, business needs, and employment laws
- Stay updated on HR-related legal requirements and make necessary adjustments to policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as required by the HRBP Manager to ensure the successful operation of the Company

**Skills a**nd Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-3 years of previous experience in a health and safety role
- Knowledge of Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act and related regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
