**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, the Communications Advisor supports the People Services team to create and implement strategic internal communications tactics to successfully communicate and engage with almost 25,000 unionized and non-unionized staff, almost 3000 physicians, 6500 learners and 6000 (pre COVID) volunteers. Working closely with colleagues in Public Engagement and Communications, the position works to plan, create, implement and evaluate communication activities that build and strengthen the organization’s workforce.

**About You**:
We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Undergraduate degree and/or post-secondary study in mass communications, public relations, journalism or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in the communications and engagement sector.
- Knowledge of best practice related to internal communications, corporate communications, media relations, crisis communications, online communications and engagement.
- Demonstrated success and creativity in delivering internal communications for a large organization.
- Strategic and system-focused thinking; strong analysis and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to support internal and external collaborative relationships.
- Experience managing public relations issues and reputation management.
- Computer proficiency and interest and ability to work within social media.
- Ability to manage projects, delivering on budget and on time.
- Assets include:

- Experience in the health sector
- Working proficiency of French
- IAP2 principles and practices

**Hours**:

- Long Assignment, Full-Time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
- Beginning March 20, 2023 for approximately 12 months

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$31.08 - $38.85 hourly
