More About the Role

Reporting to the Collections Manager, the Collections Officer oversees a portfolio of approximately 100 active customer accounts. Your daily activities include initiating collection calls, processing payments, assessing risk, and negotiating payment arrangements. You will interact with individuals throughout the company and hospitality industry to build positive relationships.

Specifically, your role will include:

- Providing effective account management and work closely with customers and sales representatives
- Building strong relationships with all accounts and maintain excellent customer service
- Overseeing account transactions which includes: requesting remittances, creating cash receipts, allocating payments accordingly, processing credit and debits as required
- Reconciling accounts as necessary to resolve disputed amounts
- Investigating and resolving customer queries and follow up with accounts as needed
- Maintaining departmental administrative procedures
- Providing project support to Finance, Operations, Sales and other departments as required

Skills to Thrill
- Ideally, you have 1-3 years in collections, banking, or an accounts receivable role

- You are comfortable with using today’s technologies to conduct daily business activities, so a fast-paced, dynamic work environment doesn’t intimidate you.

- You are adept at problem solving, have an eye for detail, highly organized and self-motivated

Other skills include:

- Strong proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
