- **About the Opportunity**:

- ʔaq̓am is seeking responsible, energetic and dynamic individuals to fill the positions of** ʔaq̓amnik Summer Program Assistants **for the months of July and August**. **The program runs for 8 consecutive weeks commencing July 2, 2024 and ending August 23, 2024. This is a temporary, full-time position, daily hours will average 7 to 7.5.

**Key Responsibilities & requirements**:

- Provide quality childcare as well as plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 6-12 years
- Function as a member of our cohesive and cooperative team, which includes staff, parents and community members.
- Possess Grade Twelve or equivalent
- Possess a valid First Aid Certificate
- Proof of a clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check
- WHIMIS; or willingness to obtain.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Previous experience with early childhood education is an asset.

Hourly wage starts at $20.00/hour
