**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Manager of Recruitment & Employee Experience, the Pension & Benefit Consultant is a member of the People & Organizational Development team. This position administers, communicates and provides customer service to employees regarding benefits and compensation for the IWK Health Centre employees (union and non union). Ensures benefits and compensation are administered as per collective agreements/non-union/management policies with emphasis on financial and human resource management. Ensure employees receive the appropriate salary and benefit entitlements under Health Centre policy or union contract in a timely manner. Communicates description of benefits to eligible employees and manages the integrity of HRIS data management.

**Hours of Work**:
Monday to Friday, business hours (37.5 hours weekly)

**Your Qualifications**:

- Bachelors Degree in Business, Commerce or Arts with a recognized Human Resources certificate.
- Successful completion of a recognized certificate program in Human Resources or Benefits.
- Minimum five (5) years experience required; seven (7) years preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in word processing, spread sheets, and HRIS reporting.
- Effective research and analytical skills.
- Effective communication, customer service and problem solving skills.
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of WCB, employment insurance, Human rights and legislation in relation to benefits is an asset.
- Experience in payroll is considered an asset.
- Proven time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.
- Competencies in other languages an asset.
