**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We have an incredible opportunity for a National Account Manager_ _to join STG Canada_. _As a National Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of mass market tobacco brands across assigned commercial chain accounts. Maintain focus on assigned accounts to proactively identify opportunities, improve customer service, improve business performance, quickly and effectively respond to business challenges with sound sales solutions, and partner with other departments to meet the customer’s needs.

**WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?**
- Drive company strategy and initiatives within assigned/team accounts
- Conduct sales negotiations with key accounts. Sets up schedules and appointments to service existing accounts and obtain new accounts
- Possess strong cross-functional expertise in operational disciplines, such as providing a monthly sales forecast, gap fill initiatives and evaluating run-rates.
- Must possess a strong understanding of customer distribution network and customer-related metrics (i.e. Fill Rate, On-Time, Vendor Lead time, In-Stocks, Turns)
- Ensure compliance on national corporate mandated initiatives and rebate programs
- Ownership of volume targets, spending budgets and overall results of managed/team accounts
- Mastery of internal/external data sources / information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and market trends to maximize share, shipments and margin
- Assist RAMs with sales presentations and business reviews as a resource advocate to deliver fact-based analyses (MSAi) and selling strategies
- Work in tandem with field personnel; create assortment, pricing, promotional strategies
- Serve as direct contact to field sales team on behalf of assigned distributor[s] to set strategy and sales expectations

**WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?**
- Prefer 10+ years related work experience in fast moving consumer goods, 5+ years people management; tobacco industry experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong planning, communication, and teamwork skills are required. Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite required.

- Extensive travel ~ 50%
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
