Join Western Canada’s Largest Automotive Dealer-Owned purchasing group as a Field Service Technician in our Equipment division and contribute your technical expertise to deliver exceptional service to our clients. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle various physically demanding conditions.

**Duties**:

- Travel to client locations to perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on automotive equipment, including lifts, vehicle exhaust systems, detail bay systems, automatic carwashes, oil delivery systems, and air delivery systems.
- Diagnose technical issues and provide timely solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and technical manuals to troubleshoot problems.
- Maintain accurate records of site visits, including parts used and work performed.
- Collaborate with the technical support team to resolve complex issues.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance on a wide array of automotive service equipment.
- Install various types of automotive service and repair equipment.
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency, with attention to detail.
- Operate a forklift, aerial work platform, and other lifting devices for the movement of parts, equipment, and people.
- Maintain a clean working area free from dirt and debris between tasks and at the end of the day.

**Work Conditions**:

- Exposure to hazards associated with the industry/trade.
- Extended periods of standing and other physically demanding conditions.
- Work at heights on ladders and/or platforms.
- High noise levels.
- Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 35 kilograms.
- Bending, crouching, reaching, working from knees, and in awkward positions.
- Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment.
- Regular exposure to conditions including heat, humidity, and dust.
- Repetitive work.
- Use of required personal protective equipment.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in using hand tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge with a general understanding of computer hardware, plumbing, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed (some for out-of-town work, including overnight and some multiple-day trips).
- Strong understanding of construction best practices.
- Solution-oriented and able to work alone with little supervision.
- Adherence to company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory requirements.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
