J**OB SUMMARY**:
Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for a team of production personnel that utilize a daily production batch schedule to gather required dry and wet mix ingredients, batch and mix those ingredients, pour the mixture into loafing pans placed in racks, and store those racks in coolers after the baking process has been completed.

As part of leading this team, the wet mixer team lead is principally responsible for (i) ensuring the integrity and accuracy of each product’s proprietary recipe; (ii) producing the highest quality products that are properly batched, mixed, poured, and stored; (iii) the proper handling and operation of all dry and wet mix assets; and (iv) the achievement and delivery of daily production targets.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lifting, pouring, and mixing all raw material ingredients into machinery as per recipe instructions and the daily production schedule. This includes verification, weighing, and measuring of ingredients.
- Understand the required batch order sequence to optimize production output, avoid any cross-contamination of allergens, and minimize the number of bowl/equipment washes.
- Utilize manual batching equipment for all small batch production runs.
- Work with other team members as appropriate to gather, lift and pour raw materials as needed.
- Immediately report any equipment issues or batch discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
- Ensure strict adherence to the recipes provided.
- Understand, set, and monitor accurate controls on machinery as per recipe and equipment instructions to ensure the production and delivery of high-quality products.
- Be familiar with appropriate machinery and be able to troubleshoot as needed.
- Responsible for the preparation and completion of the daily shift report, including explanation of the nightly activities. Complete and maintain all reports required (such as production reports, wastage, damages, etc.).
- Document any batches nor completed or raw materials not used and report back to the Production Supervisor daily.
- Ensure wet mix production area, tools and supplies are kept organized and sanitary throughout the shift.
- Follow all Food Safety and Safety Procedures as outlined by company policy.
- Adhere to all quality and safety requirements and report to Production Supervisor as needed.
- Assist with cleaning equipment during change over and shutdowns.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Adhere to all proper guarding and lockout procedures.
- Assist in new team members onboarding/training processes (includes but is not limited to introduction to role responsibilities, workspace specific training and proper use and handling of equipment and communicating company policies and procedures).
- Monitor the performance and efficiency of team members, provide coaching and training where necessary to ensure that company standards are maintained; actively participate in providing feedback for annual performance reviews.
- Working closely with the Quality Assurance department to ensure the integrity and superior quality of all products produced (includes but is not limited to adhering to the product specifications and guidelines, and spot-checking products).
- Participate in the maintenance of health & safety by addressing potential hazards or complaints to the Production Supervisor.
- Address and resolve any team/individual conflicts or issues in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent education level as a minimum requirement
- 2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing, preferably food/bakery.
- Effective ability to communicate clearly with individuals at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic math skills (Addition-Subtraction-Multiplication-Division).
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
