**The Opportunity**
We have a full-time position available for an Assertive Community Treatment Team Manager to work within CMHA’s Housing and Community Supports (CHS) program. The CHS team is expanding and developing a comprehensive community housing and wellness support continuum including all three levels of Housing First, including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Rapid Re-housing.
ACT is a client-centered, recovery-focused mental health service for people with serious and persistent mental health illnesses. The ACT Team uses Housing First, Harm Reduction and Psychiatric Rehabilitation approaches as well as other relevant clinical tools and methods of responding to assist participants to gain skills and resources that assist them to choose, get and keep housing in the community and realize meaningful roles related to working, learning, and socializing.
**The Position**
Supported by the Associate Director of Housing Services, The Assertive Community Treatment Manager is responsible for supporting the multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment team direct reports, and housing resource information for the agency. The ACTT Manager will ensure the programs are successfully meeting their mandates, while overseeing staff, operations, and future program growth. Salary is commensurate with experience within the established out-of-scope manager scale for a 35-hour work week. Work hours require flexibility during operating hours of CMHA; 8:30 am - 8:30 pm with occasional evening and weekend coverage
**The Qualifications**
**Required**
- 3-year post-secondary degree in a human service
- related discipline such as social work or nursing.
- Eligible for registration in your professional designation.
- Five years’ experience in a community-based mental health or addiction related setting.
- Three years' demonstrated leadership experience.
- Experience is community outreach and engagement.
- Experience in leading change management processes with a view to increase and enhance program delivery.
- Effective communication and comprehension of the English language.
- Proficiency in Housing First, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, and recovery-oriented services.
- Knowledge of Indigenous experiences of trauma and colonization and of cultural healing practices and resources.
- Knowledge of issues related to poverty, homelessness, mental health, and addictions and of related systems and community services.
- Clinical assessment and counselling skills.
- Knowledge of the impact of stigma, and of the impacts of trauma.
- Demonstrates competence in cultural safety and works effectively with individuals with various backgrounds.
- Applicants must have both a recent satisfactory criminal record check and abuse registry checks.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable and Manitoba registered vehicle.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Acceptable work record.
**Preferred**
- Strong advocacy skills while remaining professional.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Stages of Change and Motivational Interviewing.
- Ability to develop program proposals and funding requests.
