**Job Posting: VOICE Program Manager**

**Position: 0.5FTE / Hourly Rate: $35/hr**

**PURPOSE**: Give a summary of the job, covering the main responsibilities, the framework within which the job must operate and the main contribution to the organization.

Valuable Opportunities to Inspire Change through Empowerment (VOICE) was created to engage, educate, and empower young people to help end gender-based violence (GBV). Program ambassadors drive transformative change within their communities by developing long-lasting relationships through group mentoring and education sessions.

**Vision**: Reduce incidents of GBV in the communities we serve.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of VOICE and be responsible for tracking all VOICE activities and ambassador schedules.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES**: The purpose of the job can be broken down in different responsibilities and end results.

Each result shows what the job is accountable for, within what framework and what the added value is.
**Planning and coordination**:

- Plan, organize and coordinate logistics for day-to-day operations and oversight of ambassadors including school visits, community organization and / or camp presentations as assigned by the Executive Director.
- Planning, program delivery, scheduling, processing school requests, addressing presentation needs, and evaluation support as needed.
- Work with internal VOICE contractors and ambassadors, as well as schools, coaches, and community organizations to implement VOICE programming.
- Responsible for weekly reporting to the Executive Director utilizing a detailed project status report.
- Responsible for tracking VOICE programming, progressions, and milestones **.**:

- Responsible for grant reporting, grant tracking, and ensuring VOICE meets deadlines for submissions on time, or in advance of deadlines.

**Manage and coordinate initiatives as required in support of VOICE goals**:

- Practice strong project management skills in project work, independent work, and workload management (including use of project management tools, graphics, documents, meeting summaries, agendas, PowerPoint presentations, terms of references, project charters).
- Assist in implementing training for staff, volunteers, and practicum students to comply with departmental, organization and institutional requirements.
- Tracking and reconciling budgets.

**Contribute to VOICE overall work culture**
- Complete and support VOICE quarterly updates and documents as required.
- Contribute to VOICE operational planning and reporting.
- Support co-workers and new employees through information sharing and documentation.
- Representing VOICE values, having positive interactions with Ambassadors, schools, community organizations providing excellent client-focused service.
- Respond to website and general inquiries regarding VOICE.

Reporting to the Executive Director at VOICE, the Program Manager has an important role in assisting with planning and coordination of Ambassadors and their school visits / presentations. This position is situated in a fast-paced organization and responsible for assisting in preparing high quality and timely presentations, as well as logístical support in the planning. VOICE’s unique approach focuses on changing culture and behavior to achieve the following outcomes:

- Strengthening the leadership, capacity, and knowledge of organizations and institutions to support the eradication of

GBV.
- Utilize a Diversity & Inclusive lens as a critical component throughout all aspects of work.
- Community organizations and the public engage in the conversation to promote awareness that supports the prevention of GBV.

VOICE has developed an approach that includes engaging and educating professional and university athletes in the communities we serve. These VOICE Ambassadors are trained to share their knowledge and lived experiences with future generations, helping youth develop an understanding of how individual beliefs, attitudes and behaviors can help prevent GBV.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES**: Include information on level of education completed, related training and relevant experience. Identify important knowledge factors, including knowledge about practical procedures, administrative, technical support, and/or professional proficiencies.
