Since our establishment in 2005, we have been the voice of organics, advocating for over 590 organic producers and processors as well as 100+ businesses within the organic community. Our mission is to cultivate better production practices, encourage organic production, advance business development, and promote the organic brand across Alberta.

We are seeking a talented Communications Coordinator to join our team on a maternity leave contract with the potential for extension. The Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in executing our social media strategy, engaging with our audience, and maintaining a unified brand voice across various platforms.

**General Responsibilities**:

- Craft and execute a results-driven social media strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and curate engaging content for social media channels and e-newsletters.
- Monitor social media trends and produce content that resonates with our audience.
- Attend occasional events and produce live social media content to showcase Organic Alberta's activities and initiatives.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and identity across all social media channels.
- Collaborate with program leads to create a comprehensive social media calendar and assets.
- Interact with users and promptly respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
- Review analytics and create reports on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns.

**Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms for organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content that aligns with organizational objectives.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.
