**Position Description**:
Reporting to the Manager of EarlyON, the EarlyON Program Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, general secretarial and administrative supports and assistance to internal and external clients. Working with staff, they will create and foster a safe and positive inclusive environment where parents or caregivers and their children, ages birth to six engage together.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and adhere to the centers’ health and safety procedures in respects to the programs’ facility, pieces of equipment and supplies ensuring that all hazards to children their families’ staff and volunteers are identified and dealt with through procurement and inventory procedures
- Administer all communication reception and administrative duties which include but not limited to handle confidential materials in a sensitive and appropriate manner. Ensuring that all forms and data are safe protected and maintained in a confidential manner respecting and adhering to all legislative and agency privacy policies
- Collect, handle and maintain confidential information
- Accurately enter/update information in the required database, generate accurate statistical reports
- Maintain, track and submit invoices and receipts
- Connect families to community resources, programs and services in the greater Peel community to address their needs
- Abide by and adhere to the day to day practices and procedures of the organization in respects to recordkeeping and ensuring privacy and confidentiality is maintained and according to agencies policies and procedures; with respect to occupational health and safety requirements; child welfare reporting and accommodation and customer services best practices
- Proven ability to attend to detail-oriented work, and to work independently while also functioning in a highly integrated team environment
- Order, purchase program supplies and materials
- Keep track of all inventory
- Any other tasks assigned.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Registered Early Childhood Educator
- **Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.**
- Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and written
- Demonstrated capacity to track several tasks simultaneously and to set priorities for completing quality work in a timely manner
- Proven ability to attend to detail-oriented work, and to work independently while also functioning in a highly integrated team environment
- Ability to handle confidential materials in a sensitive and appropriate manner
- Experience in working with individuals from diverse cultures
- Knowledge of agencies providing service to children and their families in Peel region
- Three to five years of experience working directly with children in an educational/structured setting
- Having a positive attitude, being energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about children’s social justice issues and family resources
- Knowledge and experience with child development, parenting issues, and family life issues in a learning environment
- Familiarity with resources in the community
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Second language an asset
- A criminal reference clearance will be required

**Working Conditions**:

- EarlyON Centre
- Maybe located in an offsite location
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends

**Travel**:

- Access and use of a personal vehicle required
- A valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained as a condition of employment
- Occasional travel between sites

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $23.32 per hour
