The **IT Support Specialist** will report to the IT Manager and will help grow and support the IT function from the ground up. This role will primarily provide on-site end-user support and ensure stable operations of the network, systems, user endpoints and other peripherals. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for day to day support and assisting in new and ongoing projects.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide tier 1/2 support for IT requests and issues;
- Work with members of the IT team to develop and support business needs;
- Troubleshoot end user hardware and software problems, providing end user training where required;
- Create procedures, documentation and training materials as required;
- Assist in developing IT strategies and long-term objectives;Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of end user workstations and peripherals;
- Acquire, install, and upgrade software and components, providing routine automation where possible;
- Respond within agreed SLA timeframes and ability to self-prioritize and manage multiple parallel activities; and
- Assist with other IT duties as the arise.

**WHAT YOU BRING**:

- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Computer Science; equivalent experience will be considered;
- Familiar with basic network troubleshooting; and
- Willingness to learn new technologies.

You Are **TECHNICALLY SAVVY**, capable of troubleshooting and analyzing technical issues and platforms.

You Are a **CRITICAL THINKER,** with a proactive mindset, solid organization and communication skills.

You Are **ADAPTABLE,** capable of managing multiple parallel activities and shifting priorities as the business requires.

**YOUR EXPERIENCE**:

- 2-3 years' experience in Information Systems, networking, and/or help desk support;
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting a wide range of IT issues;
- Experience working with Canadian data privacy practices and laws;
- Previous experience working in a highly regulated and dynamic environment considered an asset;
- Experience with supporting Windows and Apple environment;
- Experience with Mobile Device Management such as Mosyle and InTune strongly preferred;
- Experience with Office 365 and Azure preferred.
