Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

As a Project Manager, Depth of Cover Remediation with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group of Pipeline Engineering specialists. This position is based at our Calgary office and works closely with our Right of Way Hazards team.
The Integrity and Risk Management Team is seeking to hire a Pipeline Integrity Project Manager, working with the Right-of-Way Hazards group, who will focus on the planning, execution, and close out of integrity maintenance projects along Trans Mountain's pipeline corridors. This role will report to the Manager, Integrity and Risk Management focusing on depth of cover mitigation construction projects. The role may also support the management and execution of projects within Pipeline Integrity, such as the Cathodic Protection program, and will also have the opportunity to work closely with the Integrity and Risk team.
This is a contract position based in our Calgary office for a minimum of 6 months up to a 2-year extension.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage right of way maintenance projects including project scope development and planning documentation
- Liaise with other internal and external groups to ensure Trans Mountain and external stakeholder requirements are met
- Manage construction budgets and contractor oversight requirements
- Assist with the assessment and prioritization of potential depth of cover mitigation sites
- Collaborate with departments to ensure processes and standards and followed
- Coordinate project close out documentation including updated depth of cover surveys
- Provide summarized project updates and key performance indicators to supervisors and executive
**Qualifications and Professional Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Preferably Civil, Geotechnical, Structural or Mechanical Engineering) is required.
- 5 to 10 years Engineering experience with at least 3 years of project management experience
- Project management experience including managing projects up to $10M is preferred.
- Experience working in an operating environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with others, and desire to mentor, lead and guide junior and intermediate engineers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, time management and leadership skills.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex problems and make sound decisions.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner in a high-paced, multi-task environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to navigate and facilitate difficult conversations.
**Other requirements and Information**
- Field work along the right of way will be required, generally between July to October
- Valid class 5 driver’s license is required.
- May need to provide support outside of regular business hours and/or on the weekend.
