**THE JOB: Insurance Administrator (16 Month Contract)**

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $49,991 - $62,489

Reporting to the Insurance Administration Manager the Insurance Administrator is responsible for the administrative functions of promotions, sales and renewals of programs within the suite of Insurance programs offered to Doctors of BC Members.

- Tests and inspects outputs and applies quality checks prior to work submission.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- High school graduation supplemented by post-secondary education or technical training, as well as one year of related experience; OR an equivalent level or related work experience in lieu of post-secondary education may also be considered.
- Successful completion of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Program courses and/or Principles & Applications of Life, Health, and other Group Benefits is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of legislative requirements under the Insurance Act of each province and PIPEDA privacy law.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with basic mathematical functions and data entry.
- Strong writing skills and proven ability to develop clear, concise and comprehensive written communication.
- Excellent judgment in setting priorities, identifying issues and determining action required when working under pressure and deadlines.
- Adept at balancing major concurrent tasks and projects while ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
- Proven ability to respond to a wide variety of issues and deal with unclear situations and conflicting demands, and to seek leadership direction and support with priority setting when needed.
- Excellent computer skills using Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of the team.
