Butcher/portion Cutter

World Meats Inc. is looking for a **Full Time Experienced Butcher/Meat Cutter.**
Butcher/ Meat Cutter is responsible to ensure that orders are cut to the specifications as per the Order from the Customer Service Department. Butchers cut and trim meat from larger, wholesale portions into steaks, chops, roasts, and other cuts.
Monday-Friday. Start time 6am until the job is complete. Minimum 40 hours. Lots of overtime.
**Breakdown of Responsibilities**
- Cut carcasses, sides and quarters
- Cut, trim, bone, tie and grind meats such as beef, pork, poultry and fish in order to prepare meat as per specifications
- Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Remove bones from meat; Grind meats; Prepare special orders; Prepare special displays of meats
- Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats using boning knife, skewer and twine
- Receive, inspect and store meat upon delivery to ensure quality
**Requirements**:
- Knowledge of raw materials, productions processes, quality control
- Knife, Band Saw techniques, knowledge and expertise
- Ability to move the hand, the hand together with the arm or 2 hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects with excellent hand-eye co-ordination
- Ability to keep the hand and arm steady while moving the arm and hand in one position.
- Ability to see details at a close range
- Problem Solving Skills
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Ability to Work well under pressure
- Ability to Work in a fast pace environment,
- Standing for long periods of time
- Handling heavy loads
**Working Conditions**
- Ability to work in cold temperatures (-10/+4) degrees “C”
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs

**Salary Negotiable**
**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
