- JOB TITLE: Key Account Manager
- REPORTS TO: Customer Director
- LOCATION: Markham, Ontario (Hybrid)
JOB SUMMARY:
- Develop, manage, and achieve volume, profit and share objectives on assigned categories within assigned National Customer Account.
- Build strategic relationships with customers to develop JMS brands in the Canadian marketplace
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop & implement annual business plans including volume objectives, trade investment budgets and strategies which are consistent with Smucker brand and corporate strategies.
- Work closely with Customer, Customer Director, Category Strategy, Deduction Analysts and internal Smucker stakeholders, to identify, develop and execute annual business building plans for the assigned National Customer Account.
- Fully utilize all Post Promotion Analysis, Price Modeling and POS resources to better evaluate, plan and execute the business.
- Lead strategic and insight based initiatives for assigned national account by leveraging Category & Shopper Insight teams.
- Achieve full line distribution for all Smucker products within assigned categories with emphasis on maximizing product volume and gross margin.
- Establish and maintain frequent contact with account personnel, particularly merchandising, operations, supply chain and finance.
- Achieve desired Accounts Receivable and Trade Investment goals through working closely with Smucker Trade Promotions personnel & Trade Finance.
- Coordinate and communicate all relevant account priorities for retail sales team to achieve desired results through Acosta retail sales personnel (merchandising, pricing, distribution, pricing, planograms).
- Perform Retail Audits in assigned account and competitive retailers to monitor execution of Smucker brands and competitive intel.
- Report on all competitive and required information on a timely basis (ie. Weekly, Qtrly Reviews).
- Work closely with the Demand Planning team to provide ongoing forecast requirements leveraging ongoing Shipment, Inventory & POS analysis.
OVERALL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant degree, diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 to 3 years Account Management experience
- Proven Leadership Skills and proven ability to execute strategic initiatives
- Excellent negotiating, assessment and analytical abilities
- Proven ability to build and execute business plans with customers
- Team and results oriented with effective written & communication skills.
- Flexible, extended hours and workdays required basis meetings and demands of the business and customers
- Valid driver’s licence
