Regional Vice President Financial Planning

**What is the opportunity?**

As the Regional Vice President, Financial Planning, you lead a specialized sales force responsible for relationship managing RBCs Mass Affluent client base for the region.

You guide and deliver premium growth, business results and maximize the return on RBC’s investment in the Financial Planner and associated roles, within the respective region. Steering the strategic direction of Financial Planning, you inspire employees and encourage collaboration and the power of One RBC in order to bring our Collective Ambition to life.

**What will you do?**
- Lead the region’s Relationship Financial Planners and market colleagues in acquiring, retaining and consolidating High Net Worth client relationships, deepening those client relationships on both side of the balance sheet, and advancing brand dominance in the market
- Collaborate with market leaders to drive success in the Financial Planning business and the region’s investment objectives.
- Build capability of the Financial Planning team and market leaders, ensuring the delivery of the Your Future By Design Advice Experience, targeting Mass Affluent clients and building a digitally-enabled banking relationship; accelerate development of top talent
- Optimize resources and make tactical decisions that capitalize on talent and market opportunities in collaboration with market leaders and direct reports
- Champion Change and drive enablement to ensure success of National initiatives, partnering with regional and national advisors
- Understand and manage risk, actioning issue and trends in a timely manner
- Represent RBC at community events and build a strong network of Centres of Influence

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- Demonstrated Financial Planning business expertise and leadership success
- Sales & Leadership Experience (minimum 10 - 15 years)
- Strategic Orientation and Business Acumen
- Ability to Inspire & Develop People
- Change Leadership
- Technical knowledge of: Compliance & Risk Management
- Personal Financial Planner (PFP®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or QAFP designation
- Branch Compliance Officer course

**Nice-to-have**
- Experience in both Personal & Commercial Banking
