**Job Description**:

- Responsibilities
- Lead the consolidation process for BAM financial statements under US GAAP on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate and lead the resolution of complex technical accounting issues, including coordination with auditors and operating platforms
- Compile, analyze and report on corporate and key business platforms including operating metrics;
- Assist in preparation of various analyses and reports for senior management to support their business decision making, and for the board of directors
- Review forecasting and business planning process;
- Review consolidated financial forecasts, track operating results of subsidiaries spanning multiple segments and five continents and articulate findings to key stakeholders
- Involvement in Brookfield’s annual valuation process including in-depth review of models/long-term assumptions and the preparation of consolidated management presentations
- Assist with annual Investor Day preparation
- Collaborate effectively with business groups, tax, legal, and treasury to execute internal steps memos
- Supervise, support and mentor junior staff to aid in their development
- Extensive use of advanced Excel formulas to automate recurring analysis/working papers
- Assist with system enhancements with focus on scalability for future growth
- Undertake and lead various ad hoc analysis as required on a regular basis
- Qualifications and Requirements
- Professional accounting designation with 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance
- Excellent communication skills and collaborates effective with others
- Highly organized and has ability to fulfill responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and enjoys problem-solving in an unstructured environment
- Advanced Excel skills and proficient working with large data sets using exceptional analytic skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics would be an asset
