**The Opportunity**

Recreation and Culture Services builds vibrant, healthy, active and connected communities by providing facilities and programs that give all Barrie residents an opportunity to participate in recreational activities. Key responsibilities include identifying community recreation needs and interests, developing and delivering recreation opportunities which meet these needs and interests, maintaining and operating recreational and cultural facilities to provide a setting for these activities, and managing the provision of space to external community providers and groups.

Under the general guidance and direction of the Director of Recreation Services, the Supervisor of Recreation Administrative Services position is responsible for overseeing and supervising the daily administrative and office support activities for the Recreation Services Department, and delivery of services offered through City Hall Client Services Desk. Specifically, this position is responsible for monitoring and supervising City Hall Client Services Desk operations and performance in accordance with established service delivery standards, key performance indicators and customer service principles, standards and techniques. Additionally, this position provides confidential and non-confidential administrative and clerical support for the Director of Recreation Services and Department Management staff. Furthermore, this position acts as a point of contact for, and investigates and responds to escalated inquiries, requests and/or complaints received through the City Hall Client Services Desk. Lastly, this position is responsible for reviewing service delivery processes to support performance management, process improvements, training initiatives, performance measures and quality assurance of the City Hall Client Services Desk. Overall, this positions plays an integral role in providing administrative support to the Recreation Services Department, and monitoring the delivery of consistent, timely, and efficient customer service to internal and external customers to support the comprehensive delivery of services offered by the Recreation Services Department within the City of Barrie.

**Education **(degree/diploma/certifications)
- Two (2) year College Diploma in Office Administration, Business, Recreation or related discipline
- Completion of Standard First Aid and CPR Level C Certifications within 90 Days
- Completion of Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification within 90 Days

**Experience**
- Four (4) years of experience performing duties related to the above mentioned major responsibilities, including demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience
- Four (4) years of experience performing duties related to the above mentioned major responsibilities within a recreation and/or customer service work environment including leadership and/or supervisory experience and experience providing administrative and clerical support for senior/executive level officials and/or elected/appointed officials
- Demonstrated accounting, cash handling, and reconciliation experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering training and development training tools
- Demonstrated experience in Talent Acquisition
