- In this role, you will:_
Be responsible for the purchasing of specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, materials and equipment required and utilized in the maintenance of aircraft operated in support of the Aviation sector. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Source parts, materials and tooling for aircraft as needed as outlined in the MPM ensuring appropriate parts documentation and use of appropriately rated AMOs
- Monitor parts requests
- Select and contact vendors for parts availability
- Submit New Vendor requests to AVL team and QA Manager as required
- Liaise with Vendors for timeline of repairs and parts delivery
- Create Purchase and Repair Orders in WinAir as applicable ensuring AOG items are prioritized and delivery arrangements are made
- Liaise with Procurement to create IFS POs
- Advise stakeholders of the status of requests and keep updated
- Monitor outstanding aircraft parts and materials and communicate delays
- Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels with the assistance of the Stores department
- After hours on-call rotation during aircraft deployment
- Provide support to Aviation Service team as required
- Update KPIs and other reporting for parts and materials, as necessary to support the business unit
- Report safety hazards or concerns noticed in the course of your duties through the Safety Management System (SMS) system
- Participate in all training needs as assigned including Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods and others as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma would be an asset)
- You have 5 years or more of experience in the Aviation industry with an understanding of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and parts certifications
- You have a high attention to detail
- You have experience in the following areas:
- WinAir 7
- Aviation Stores experience or oversight
- Aviation Purchasing experience or oversight
- WHMIS training an asset (annual training is provided)
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
- You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
