- In this role, you will:_
Assist as required in the day-to day operations of Inventory Control for specialized and non-specialized aviation parts, materials and equipment required and utilized in the maintenance of aircraft operated in support of the Aviation sector. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Monitor and maintain inventory stock levels, including expired parts and calibrated tools, using WinAir inventory software
- Receive parts into stock using approved processes
- Packaging and shipping parts and tools
- Retrieve and deliver shipments and documents as needed
- Deliver and return parts and material to and from the stores room and hangar
- Provide support in the inventory count process
- Prepare parts to be sent out to the bases
- Delivery of parts to and from the bases
- After hours on-call rotation during aircraft deployment
- Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts
- Report safety hazards or concerns noticed in the course of your duties through the Safety Management System (SMS) system
- Maintain a clean and tidy department and work area through general housekeeping, reorganizing storage areas as needed and constructing or modifying storage racks as needed
- Participate in all training needs as assigned including Human Factors, Ladder & Lifting, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods and others as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- You have at least a high school diploma or equivalent (College or University diploma would be an asset)
- You have two to three (2-3) years of experience in an inventory management environment, preferably in an Aviation setting
- You have experience in the following areas:
- Methods and practices used to receive, store, issue, transport, and distribute material
- Data entry
- Stock control and inventory management
- Control of documentation
- WHMIS training an asset (annual training is provided)
- WinAir 7 experience an asset
- Proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, meaning that you must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by the Government of Canada with the final dose at least 14 days prior to your start date
- You are eligible for a Babcock Canada Background Check, Criminal Record Police Check, Transport Canada Clearance (required to work in an airport) and ITAR Clearance
