**Clinical Manager
In support of the mission and mandate of Family Services Windsor-Essex (FSWE), the incumbent provides oversight of all staff and affiliates that deliver direct counselling services.
**JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
**SERVICE DELIVERY**
Provides service to the agency by performing the following key duties:
- To effectively manage and provide oversight of FSWE’s clinical counselling team to ensure delivery of consistent, high-quality counselling.
- Completing an Annual Performance Appraisal for each employee under your direct supervision.
- Ensuring all Program employees, students, and contract workers are aware of and adhere to the Agency’s standards of conduct and policies and procedures.
- Provide service-wide clinical oversight to staff, students and contract workers with a focus on safeguarding and risk monitoring.
- To identify appropriate trainings and organize regular professional development opportunities for the clinical team.
- Conduct trainings, where appropriate.
- To support the Director of Mental Health and Counselling Programs with recruitment and overall planning and program development for the Counselling Program.
- To meet regularly with the Manager of Counselling Operations to ensure program targets, outcomes, and quality services are provided.
- Conduct regular team meetings to drive program development, foster collaboration, and cultivate a positive and supportive work culture.
- Create a quarterly newsletter for the program and circulate to Customer Care and clinical counsellors.
- Maintain a small caseload.
- Develop and deliver community requested trainings, when required.
- Oversee the development and update as needed, clinical protocols utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Deliver Critical Incidence Response and Termination Support services for fseap, when required.
- Handle escalated client issues or complaints, when required.
- Support the evaluation of the counselling program using approved outcome measurement tools.
- Dealing with all requests from people we support, funders and stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Participating in community events to promote/ provide information on Counselling Programs.
- Participating on community or regional committees, as requested.
- Act as the primary liaison with partner organizations to ensure seamless collaboration and effective implementation of joint agreements
- Providing leadership coverage in the absence of the Director, in conjunction with the other Agency Managers and Coordinators.
**KEY QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:
**EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS**:
**(a) Minimum level of formal education, or equivalent required**:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work.
- Registered Social Worker Designation, Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers in good standing.
**(b)** **Other required certifications**:
- Critical Incident Response (CIR) Certification
- CBT certification - preferred
**(c) Special skills or training, or knowledge**:
- In depth knowledge of Individual/Couple/Family (ICF) Counselling practice is required in the associated clinical core competencies.
- Knowledge of community resources in Windsor and Essex County is essential.
- Knowledge of programs and services for underserved populations.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills and counselling skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong advocacy skills on behalf of vulnerable individuals.
- Demonstrated compassion toward vulnerable individuals and persons with disabilities, individuals living on a low income, and understanding of the discrimination faced by people with low income and disabilities.
- Proven computer literacy.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and use of your own vehicle.
**EXPERIENCE**:
- ** Minimum amount of work-related experience required**:
- 10 years of experience in the field of Social Work preferred.
- Experience supervising a diverse clinical team.
- Experience supervising Social Work students and Independent Contractors is preferred.
- Experience working with mental health, addictions and vulnerable populations is an asset.
