We want you to join our dedicated team, led by our Perioperative Services Manager, as our Theatre Nurse Unit Manager in a Permanent Full-time position.

About the Role

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Theatre Department, ensuring the delivery of high standard care and patient safety. You will work in a collaborative team alongside another NUM and POSM to manage a skilled nursing and support team in our soon-to-be 12 Theatre complex. You will lead, supervise, and mentor our Theatre team to ensure the smooth operation of the department. You will be integral to leading the training, professional development, and management of the Theatre staff.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must be a positive and effective leader with the ability to motivate others. You will also bring extensive Orthopaedic theatre experience along with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to manage competing priorities and work well in a busy theatre complex.

You will also bring:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Extensive clinical skills and experience within Theatre
  • Experience in a Management role
  • Demonstrated ability to be an effective role model in the area of clinical practice
  • Ability to plan, develop, and implement Departmental Strategies
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human, and capital resources.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
